LINKS HALL PRESENTS
January 2008: Method to Madness Festival
Curated by Kate Sheehy, Links Hall Artistic Associate
January, March, and May 2008: Links Hall’s
Artistic Associates each curate a month-long series of performance,
based on expertise in their respective artistic fields.
Throughout January, we explore the theme of Method to Madness.
This multi-disciplinary festival includes puppetry, performance,
film, and sound. Each week, artists investigate the process of their
creative practice, offering a behind-the-scenes exploration of the
catalogs, regimen, recipes, and obsessions that make them go.
Week One: January 4-6
Week Two: January 11-13
Week Three: January 18-20
Week Four: January 25-27

What makes us do the things we do, the way we do
them?
“He readies his fishing boat. With thin lips and strong
jaw he shuffles around his chaos of tackle boxes, hooks, gear, coolers,
nets, bait and poles. My mom comes up next to me where I’m
watching and says, ‘There’s a method to his madness.’”-Kate
Sheehy
